Dear Supporters for a Strong Israel,

MOTION OF NO CONFIDENCE in the Israeli GOVERNMENT
supported by an International Declaration of Solidarity

 The Winograd Commission’s report has effectively exonerated this government
 for its failures in the 2006 Lebanon war. The result is that the Olmert government
 is now empowered to accelerate their plan to dismember the Jewish State.

 It is now more urgent than ever, to increase our common efforts and to influence
 Members of the Knesset to abandon their support for this government’s destructive
 policies.

 At the time of Sharon’s retreat and expulsion of Jewish citizens of Gaza, I initiated
 an 11th hour Petition in the Supreme Court of Israel against relinquishing Gaza to
 the Arabs. The application was based on sanitary sewage concerns. The judge
 refused the State’s request to dismiss the case and ordered the State to reply within
 28 days. Mr. Mark Zell was the attorney. Professors Paul Eidelberg, Israel
 Hanukoglu, and Arieh Zaritsky were the plaintiffs. The Petition was supported by
 affidavits of Dr. Steve Brenner and Dr. Martin Sherman.

 In addition to the above experience, I have witnessed the Olmert government’s:

 * neglect to defend Israel from acts of war by declared enemies:

 * premature military withdrawal - snatching defeat from the jaws
  of victory;

 * capitulating to foreign policies of other nations as well as to enemies
   whose outspoken public goal is to destroy the State of Israel;

 * relinquishing strategic territory to enemy militias who front a wider
  Arab/Iranian effort to continue the German Nazi Final Solution;

 *ignoring Iran’s threats “to wipe Israel off the map”,

 This is evidenced daily by the increasing barrage of Kassams fired on Sderot and
 the Negev. This government has abandoned the needs of over 20,000 Jewish citizens
 of Sderot, just as it abandoned the needs of the 8,500 Jewish citizens of Gush Katif.
 Now this government continues in its treacherous path and endangers 130,000 Jews
 in Ashkelon, while preparing to abandon ¼ million Jews of Judea, Samaria and
 Jerusalem, and give away this strategic Jewish territory, vital to the survival of
 the Jewish State and the Jewish People, to an enemy sworn to destroy us.

 This government’s policy and priority seems to be the establishment of Arab
 militia enclaves within Israel’s boundaries, under the guise thatit is an accepted
 fait accompli, that a delusional “moderate” PA state, is beneficial to Israel, the
 Jewish people and the world.

 And yet, the obvious is ignored – that a government’s first responsibility is
 to ensure the safety of its citizens. When a government fails to protect its
 population, its citizens have their own responsibility to express their outrage
 and demand the government’s immediate resignation and call for elections.

 In the wake of the Olmert regime’s preparation that would realize the misguided
 “Bush vision”, I developed www.strongisrael.org and partnered with Professor
 Francisco Gil-White, a historian specializing in the history of the Jews, the
 Holocaust, and the Arab-Israeli conflict. Our aim is to alert all caring people to
 the imminent existential threat being thrust onto the Jewish people and the State
 of Israel – the consequences just as frightening as prior to the Holocaust.

 As the current members of Knesset seem to lack the courage to mount a Motion
 of No Confidence within the Knesset, we have created Strong Israel as the vehicle
 for Israeli citizens to voice their concern through their own public Motion of No
 Confidence in the Government of Israel, in order to give Courage to Knesset
 members to abandon this government’s self destructive policies.

 This Motion is supported by an International Declaration of Solidarity.
 To date this effort has garnered several thousand signatures which we will
 present to Knesset members and relevant World leaders, and publish the
 results online and in the media at the opportune time.

 The Motion of No Confidence will document that the Israeli government does not
 have a mandate to endanger the survival of the Jewish State and the Jewish people.
